Sharing Alliteration and Art with Young Readers!
Had the absolute best time hanging out with some amazing young readers last week! πβ¨
My sister-in-law (and incredibly talented author) Ley Wire and I teamed up for a summer library program at the Blanchardville Public Library to share our children's book, An Alliterative Alphabet.
Ley read the book and gave a super fun lesson on alliteration, and then I lead a hands-on art activity. The kids actually got to be authors and illustrators themselvesβthey came up with their own alliterative stories and drew the best pictures to bring their pages to life. Their creativity totally blew me away! π¨
Huge thanks to the Blanchardville Public Library for hosting us, fostering such a great space for young readers, and for capturing these photos from the event. π
(Full disclosure: I was running around and completely forgot to change into my "fancy" shoes before the program started, so please just ignore my clashing neon yellow Crocs in the pictures! Yikes, lol! π

If you want to check out An Alliterative Alphabet for the young readers in your life, both the paperback and eBook are available on Amazon! π You can grab a copy here!
